Google introduced its new artificial intelligence model, Imagen 4, which raises the bar for realism in image production at the I/O 2025 event. This model, developed on the existing Imagen 3, was described as a high-performance image production engine that can process more details and provide outputs up to 2K resolution.
Google will produce more realistic images with Imagen 4
Imagen 4 can provide detailed and aesthetic outputs not only in realistic scenes but also in abstract designs. The model provides significant success in visualizing micro-level details such as fabric textures, water drops, and animal fur.
Google Labs Manager Josh Woodward emphasized at the press conference that Imagen 4 offers not only a quality increase, but also a serious breakthrough for typography and text-visual content. Thanks to this, presentations, digital invitations, and visual-text-integrated projects can be prepared more professionally.
It was announced that the model also offers a significant improvement in speed compared to its previous version. Google has stated that it will soon make available a version of Imagen 4 that is up to 10 times faster.
Imagen 4 has been activated in Google’s Gemini application as of today. It also works with applications such as Whisk, Vertex AI and Slides, Vids and Docs within Google Workspace. This integration will allow users to directly include images in the content creation process.
